Using Databases

A database is a searchable collection of records many of which will link you to the full text of an article, report etc.

Access to a wide range of e-resources is available to you as a University of Kent student. The comprehensive list is available from here. You will need your University of Kent username and password to access these either from the Drill Hall Library or from home.

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)
- BoB is an off-air recording and media archive service. BoB is available to staff and students of member institutions of the British Universities Film & Video Council that hold an ERA+ license. This TV scheduling service allows you to record TV and radio programmes that are scheduled to be broadcast over the next seven days as well as retrieving programmes from the last seven days from a selected list of recorded channels (Select Login via UK federation, then select University of Kent from the drop down list).
