The university subscribes to a range of newspaper sources to support your research. These include daily broadsheets located in the Drill Hall library as well as online versions of up-to-date and historical newspapers. We also hold a microfilm collection of popular newspapers from World War II. If you would like help using any of the newspaper sources please contact me.

Popular Newspapers During World War II (Microfilm Collection)

We hold a microfilm collection of Popular Newspapers during World War II which includes the Daily Express, the Daily Mirror, the News of the World, The People and the Sunday Express. It contains 83 reels covering the years 1939 - 1945. The collection is for use in the Drill Hall library only, please ask Jackie Wright for assistance.
