Using Journals

Use the Drill Hall Library catalogue to search for printed journals held in the Drill Hall, these are shelved in the journals section and are arranged on the shelves alphabetically by title.

Electronic Journals

You can also use a range of electronic journals which can be accessed via the Templeman Library Online Journals Database.

Please contact me to arrange a short session to get you started using the subscribed electronic services.

British Library

If the journal articles you require are not available online or from the Drill Hall or Templeman libraries then try searching the integrated catalogue to identify the article for inter-library loan. For this you will need to get your tutor to sign an interlibrary loan form.

Searching Databases

A database is a searchable collection of records many of which will link you to the full text of a journal article, report etc.

A full list of electronic databases available to you as a University of Kent student are available from the E-resources A-Z page. You will need your University of Kent username and password to access these databases either from the Drill Hall Library or from home.
