My name is Karen Worden and I am the Academic Support Librarian for the University of Kent, School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research at the Medway Campus. I'm here to provide you with library support during your studies at Kent. I will meet some of you in the programme meetings, but you are welcome to come and speak to me about any library concerns you may have. In addition the Drill Hall Library has a regular User Group and you can read the minutes from our website.

Books: Psychology
The Drill Hall Library catalogue contains all the books currently held in the Drill Hall Library.
Once the book has been found on the catalogue and the location and shelfmark have been noted, books held in the Drill Hall Library can be found on the shelves.

Printed Reference Works
Printed reference materials such as specialist dictionaries are available in the Drill Hall Library.

This service provides access to a variety of reference books including dictionaries and encyclopaedias.
Electronic Books
The University of Kent provides access to other electronic books via the Templeman Library catalogue.

Finding Journals in the Drill Hall Library

Finding electronic journals in the Drill Hall Library
Access to electronic journals for each student registered in the Universities at Medway Campus is determined by the online library services of your home institution. For students registered with the University of Kent access to E-Resources is available via the Templeman Library Gateway. The University subscribes to a vast number of journals in an electronic format. Many of the subscriptions are available in full-text format. To access e-journal subscriptions please visit Online Journal Resources and type in the title of the journal you require. Additionally you can search for journals and journal articles via the E-Journal Collections.

Access to library databases for each student registered in the Universities at Medway Campus is determined by the online library servcies of your home institution. Databases are an excellent means of keeping up-to-date and provide either the full text of journal articles or a bibliographical reference and abstract.
