BBC Archive
- Themed collections of radio and TV programmes, documents and photographs. Explore who we are and see how attitudes have changed over the years through selections from an archive which began over 70 years ago.
You can also go behind the scenes to find out how the BBC archives are maintained, uncover forgotten stories from the Written Archives and see how broadcasting has changed through the decades. Collections include; the Berlin Wall, World War II, Coal Mining in Britain, The Birth of the NHS and Working Class Life.

BBC Democracy Live
- Democracy Live is maintained by the BBC new service. It offers live and on demand video coverage of the UK's national political institutions (House of Commons, House of Lords, Scottish Parliament, Northern Ireland Assembly, Welsh Assembly) and the European Parliament.

On This Day (BBC)
- BBC's news archive containing video and audio material from 1950 onwards.

BFI Screenonline - A free online encyclopaedia of British film and television featuring hundreds of hours of film and television clips from the vast collections of the BFI National Archive, and several hours of recorded interviews with film and TV personalities. These clips are supplemented by rich and authoritative contextual material by expert writers, specially commissioned for BFI Screenonline alongside thousands of stills, posters and press books. Categories of films inlcude, culture and society, Britain and the world, war and conflict.

Box of Broadcasts (BoB)
- BoB is an off-air recording and media archive service. BoB is available to staff and students of member institutions of the British Universities Film & Video Council that hold an ERA+ license. This TV scheduling service allows you to record TV and radio programmes that are scheduled to be broadcast over the next seven days as well as retrieving programmes from the last seven days from a selected list of recorded channels (Select Login via UK federation, then select University of Kent from the drop down list).

British Pathe
- British Pathe online newsreel film library. The archive covers news, sport, social history and entertainment from 1896-1970.

News on Screen (BUFVC)
- Search the database of 180,000 stories from 1910-1983 and find out about the people and companies that made British newsreels and cinemagazines.

LSE Public Lectures and Events: podcasts
- This site is maintained by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It provides free access to transcripts and podcasts of a growing number of its public events and lectures. These cover all areas of the social sciences from economics to politics, international relations, human rights, sociology, media and communication studies, social psychology and development studies. Many items feature academic researchers, heads of state and leading world figures. Items are arranged chronologically from 2006 onwards.

NewsFilm Online
- Newsfilm Online is jointly managed by the BUFVC and takes footage from various collections managed by ITN/Reuters. Collections include ITV News bulletins from 1955 to the present day; Channel 4 News from its launch in 1982 to the present; Channel 5 News from 1997 until Christmas 2004, and weekly news documentary films from 1957-67. Newsfilm Online has digitised the entire remaining Gaumont Graphic silent newsreel archive from 1910 and the company's sound newsreel, Gaumont British News since 1934. Follow the instructions on the webpage to access via the University of Kent. You need to click on Historical UK newspaper and new sources collection, first.
